Strategic Business Focused Facilitation
The recruitment network was a new project which involved a group of five non competing recruitment consultants/head-hunters who wanted to work together as a business development/mentoring group. We worked with them to design and facilitate their first board meeting. This was an opportunity for them to share their expectations of the network, agree their ground rules and plan how they were going to work together.

The plan was agreed with the group before the event and the day followed their desired route map. We used a number of different tools including career maps, scenairo planning, appreciate enquiry, visual metaphors and precise definitioning. These tehcniques were designed to encourage the group to share concerns and challenge each other, it was important to the group that they created something that was robust enough to add real value to their individual businesses.

At the end of the event the group agreed to go forward with the plan and generated an action plan for the next year. The group have continued to have regular telephone conferences and have recently had their second board meeting. They report that being part of the group has helped them in their individual businesses because they are able to challenge each other and give practical advice during this challenging time for recruitment. Their individual businesses are more profitable than they would have anticipated during a downturn.

The challenge for the event was to help us bond, agree a mandate for the future and rules of engagement.Through a combination of exercises and dialogue, Christine helped us to harmonise and come together with some solid, common goals. She helped us to bond as a Group and I think the foundation we achieved that day has helped us to find a very positive way forward.Today, the Group is thriving - over the months we have supported, advised, inspired, challenged and encouraged each other on a host of strategic and tactical issues. I for one could not imagine operating without being safe in the knowledge that the Group is behind me"

Christine did a great job at bringing out the best in us all and getting us to forge together, cohesively as a team, rather than a group of individuals. We all felt the day had been a great success, thanks to Christine’s unique style and ability to effectively achieve our desired results.”
